On the 2nd day
Head to the charming neighborhood of Barrio Italia, famous for its colorful buildings, vintage shops, and art galleries. Here you can visit the local market, have a cup of coffee in a cozy cafe, and shop for unique souvenirs.
On the 3rd day
For your last day in Santiago, take a day trip to the nearby vineyards in the Casablanca Valley, just an hour’s drive from the city. You can learn about the winemaking process and sample some of the best Chilean wines.
Day 4-7: San Pedro de Atacama
On the 4th day
On day four, fly from Santiago to Calama and then take a short drive to San Pedro de Atacama, an otherworldly desert town located in the heart of the Atacama Desert. Spend the next three days exploring the stunning natural wonders of the area.
On the first day, visit the Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley) and witness the stunning rock formations, sand dunes, and salt flats. You can also enjoy a breathtaking sunset here.
On the 5th day
Wake up early and visit the El Tatio Geysers, one of the highest-elevation geyser fields in the world. Witness the stunning spectacle of steam rising from the geysers against the backdrop of the Andes Mountains.
On the 6th day
For your last day in San Pedro de Atacama, visit the Salar de Atacama, the largest salt flat in Chile. Here you can witness flamingos, salt formations, and lagoons. You can also visit the town of Toconao, famous for its colonial architecture and handicrafts.
On the 7th day
Fly back to Santiago to catch your flight home or to your next destination.
